Aristotle's beliefs are that everyone uses rhetoric in "the effort of examining and submitting inquiry", he also says that rhetoric is not limited to just one field. He criticized other theories and the sophists for how limiting their ideas were. I agree with these criticisms and agree that rhetoric helps convey a message to someone. Although the definition is much more complex than that, I believe that is the basic part of it. Plato's belief that we knew the absolute truth before we were born, and that we have just forgotten it seems like a reach, and i disagree with this.
Aristotle believed that only through logic and and demonstration can we reach the full truth.
